—About me. Why I Became a Solution-Focused Hypnotherapist. 

Intrigued by the wonders of the human mind and body since I studied Anatomy and Physiology in 2005, consequently led me to study Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy. Our brains are amazing. Neuroscientists are helping us learn more and more all the time.

Learning about the different systems of the human body is eye-opening. I could not believe that I had walked around, taking my health and body for granted for so long. I found the nervous system particularly interesting. And after being a reflexologist in Bath for seven years I decided to add another dimension to my practice.

As a result of its ‘Gold Standard’ reputation. Research led me to the Clifton Practice Training School in Bristol, and after an interview with David Newton, I was accepted to the course.

I qualified from the Clifton Practice in 2013 with a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (DHP). And was awarded from the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) a Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD). To qualify for this you have to have submitted and validated (by the NCH) a large portfolio of work.

I am a Full member of the NCH and the Association for Solution-Focused Hypnotherapists (AfSFH). Full Membership requires you to undertake continual professional development throughout your career.

What I think!

I have now no doubt in my mind that this therapy is extraordinary. Using methods of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy with Clinical Hypnotherapy results in a quick, powerful way to make life-changing developments.

I practice Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy in both Bath and in Atworth, Wiltshire. I have helped many people turn their lives around from a whole host of difficulties. Depression, severe anxiety, panic attacks, motivational issues, fears, phobias, performance anxieties, hair pulling, and nail-biting, to name but a few.

Seeing people gain momentum on their chosen path, is the most wonderful and rewarding thing to see. It’s a privilege to be working in this field and I look forward to a long and happy life helping others.
